IT DOESN'T COMPUTE. IT MAKES NO SENSE

It’s hard to fathom how Donald Trump’s electoral victory could have happened. Going into the race, Trump carried with himself the legacy of a Presidency that failed to improve the economy and ended with his indifference to a pandemic and a dismissal of weather calamities attributable to global warming, which he denied, all experienced while he played golf. He also carried a $340 million judgment for sexual assault plus other sexual assault allegations, two impeachments, 32 felony counts, two cases pending and one felony conviction. He had demeaned military men who had died in service to their country while he had avoided service due to nonexistent “heel spurs”. He was also documented as betraying national security information to the Russians and clearly carried off classified documents to Mar-A-Lago. Many of his former Administration staff warned against his reelection. He ran a bitter campaign that was filled in invective while his opponent, Kamala Harris, ran a positive, upbeat campaign that offered positive policy proposals. The issues he promoted in his campaign were a deportation of foreign immigrants and lower taxes (just for the wealthy?) and those, plus his misogyny, apparently, carried the day. Sad.
